DRUG ABUSE- WHAT CAN BE DONE TO REDUCE THE USAGE OF DRUG ABUSE?






The number of people that are using drugs keeps on increasing and all this affects the world’s population. A lot of implementations on overcoming this drug addiction must be made. The youth of this country see themselves using drugs so heavy.

Simbongile Angaxola Meyile, who is doing his second year at NELSON MANDELA UNIVERSITY was once a drug abuser but then he managed to escape from that dark hole he was succumbed to. Simbongile once opened about how, when, and when he stared using drugs “I grew up without knowing my parents, on the 21st August 2019, that’s when I started using drugs and all this just kept on eating me because of how my parents left me all alone in this world, that's how I ended up using drugs because they helped me escape the torturing pain I was at”. He ended up by saying "I do not wish any other person to experience what I have experienced because the hole I was at is so dangerous and risky”

Almost everyone has his/her self-battles, that is why so many rehabilitation centers are opened and some other community talking sessions for such people that are on drugs to open at any time when they want to and feels like they need someone to open to.

South Africa is now one of major countries that have high population growth rates, on the other hand most people are unemployed and that’s how they end up using drugs. That is why it is advisable for the Government to create more job opportunities so that are hindered by Drugs can now be busy with something can disturb them to avoid themselves from drug abuse.







One of the committee members from the Eastern Cape province raised up the voice on behalf of other community members by sayng”WE AS MASIBONISANE COMMUNITY COMMITTEE, we are driven, willing and contained by helping those that are on drugs by providing them with therapy sessions sometimes and those that they have lost their parents by supplying them with local job opportunities. In addition to those that feel like giving up in life we have their backs.

Nevertheless, Simbongile is now one those that managed to put an end on doing drugs and he is now pursuing his dream of becoming a teacher and by how things are at tertiary, he is doing exceptionally well. This YoungBoy made a promise that no matter what happens he will never use drugs again because that life can be so draining and demolishing.

Simbongile’s stage of growing up was never easy in such a way that he made so many promises for himself and others by saying he wants, and he will be there for others whenever they need someone to vent(speak)to.

In a nutshell, Simbongile’s life changed drastically, in way that he was a drug abuser and turned to become the best version of himself by embarking on the career he wanted to embark on long time ago.

After he was admitted to rehabilitation, he was never the same to such an extent that he started contributing to the community and he started doing the talking sessions by motivating others on how they can overcome any obstacle they might face in life.

  THE HATE U GIVE LITTLE INFANT FUCKS EVERYBODY(THUGLIFE). The hate u give is a movie based on how black people were treated by white people in the past few years and how blacks turned that into their win. The movie THUG was filmed and published on the 17th of September 2017 in Atlanta, George and it was screened in our screens 2018. Starr is the main character in the movie in a way that everything revolves around her and when she appears on the screen everything rises. Whites were not showing any empathy towards black people in a way that would do whatever it takes to jeopardize any black person by searching their vehicle in expectation of finding something tangible that they can use against majority people. These minority people were instructed by the law to shoot, arrest and kill any black person that is caught with illegal stuff. Khalil, one of Starr’s childhood close friend got killed during nighttime when him and Starr where coming back from the night party that they attended.
